J.D. Vance: From Marine Corps to Vice President

J.D. Vance, born in Middletown, Ohio, rose from a challenging upbringing to become the 50th Vice President of the United States in January 2025. A Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, Vance later earned degrees from Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He gained national attention with his 2016 memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, which explored the struggles of the white working class in America. In 2022, Vance was elected U.S. Senator from Ohio, serving from 2023 to 2025.
